About me: My name is Catherine Clark. I am 14 years old and live in Ventura California. I first stood up on a board when I was four years old. I loved it but unfortunately let it get away from me. When I moved to Ventura when I was five, I did many sports and finally I came back to surfing and was hooked ever since. I started surfing consistently when I was nine and entered my first longboarding contest when I was ten. I went far with longboarding and then discovered shortboarding. I started surfing in the NSSA at age twelve and I was not a factor in competition for quite some time. I strived to improve my surfing and my competitive drive kept me going. My results began to improve along with my surfing. I continue to raise my own personal bar and surf to my potential. I am motivated in surfing because I love it with all my heart. My main goal is to be the best I can be in surfing and make the WCT.
