INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
Macbeth is the sole owner of the information collected on macbethfootwear.com.  Macbeth collects only information submitted by the user via contests, forums, merchandise, banner-ads, mailing lists, etc.  This information remains on the protected Macbeth database, unless for a contest, as specified below. 

When you enter a contest or other promotional feature, we may ask for your name, address and email address so we can administer the contest and notify winners.  In addition, we may ask that you fill out a survey to assist us in getting to know our customers so that we may better serve you.  We monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the website.  If you arrived at our website via a link from another page, we may receive aggregate or otherwise anonymous statistical information about your visit to macbethfootwear.com.  We treat this information with the same care as we treat other information that you entrust to us, and it is fully protected by our Privacy Policy.

CLEAR GIFS (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to Cookies, and are used to track the online movements of web users.  The main indifference between the two is that clear gifs are invisible on the page and are much smaller, about the size of a period at the end of this sentence.  Clear gifs are not tied to users’ personally identifiable information.

The information you provide is used only internally at Macbeth and only for purposes related to the fulfillment of your order, or administering a contest.  We do not disclose your personal information to third parties, except under the possible conditions in our Terms of Use (TOU).

USE OF IP ADDRESSES
An IP address is a computer identification number that is used any time your computer is connected to the Internet.  Web serves, the computers that “serve up” web pages, identify your computer by its IP address.  Macbeth collects IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and to audit the use of our website.  When visitors request pages from our website, our servers log the visitors’ IP addresses.  We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that a visitor’s session on our website will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us.  We can and will use IP addresses to identify a user when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our TOU to protect our service, site, customers, or others.

LINKS TO OTHER WEB SITES

SURVEYS & CONTESTS
